Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical Watch Review

Today I share my experience with the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical (H694390). This is a Swiss made hand wound field watch that costs under $500. It offers 80 hours of power reserve, I was getting +/- 2 seconds/day, and the manual winding every day is a constant reminder to slow down.

On episode 257 of the BSP, I answer a bunch of questions submitted by YOU. I address why you need purpose in your life, what type of pizza I eat, what are some options for multi-tracking mixers, why there aren’t affordable external compressors, mic suggestions for guitar/singing/podcasting under $500, whether variety channels are a good idea, and if you can easily monetize a second YouTube channel.

Avantone Pro CV-12 Tube Mic Review / Test (vs. AT2020, NT1, LCT840, TF51)

Today I review Taylor Swift’s mic, the Avantone CV12 which was used on her voice for the 1989 album. This is an affordable multiple polar pattern tube condenser microphone. If you are looking for an airy top end and rounded mid section, then this mic will offer that for you and do it well.

Amazon Essentials Digital Chronograph Review (AE/1004)

Today I share my experience with the Amazon Essentials Digital Chronograph (AE/1004) which is a clear rip off of the Casio W217H. The watch keeps time well enough, the backlight is great, and the strap is a nice silicone over the plastic of the Casio. The downside is the fact that it draws so much from the Casio, it has a very quiet alarm, and the day of the week indicator is not easily legible.
